Goodlife began its journey as Money Smart Limited, a family owned and operated financial advice company founded by Gary Hodgson in February 1998. Gary began Money Smart after successfully working as Regional Manager of Prudential Retirement Planning. Since Money Smart's very first client, Gary has dedicated himself to building a strong, well-resourced business that is holistic in its approach, and which services 400 plus clients. After Gary retiring in 2010, the business is now directed by his daughter Rebecca, and nephew Daniel, who bring energy and enthusiasm to the profession of financial planning and advice. Money Smart was rebranded Goodlife Financial Advice in April 2011.

The heart and soul of Money Smart has always been the people, and Rebecca and Daniel are dedicated to maintaining the core values of the original brand as they develop innovative financial products and services to meet the current conditions.
